The Company was founded in 1996 and for the last twelve years has seen consistent year-on-year growth that has culminated in the opening of new offices in Columbia, South Carolina and effective January 2008, a new location in Chicago, Illinois. With the opening of these new offices we are excited to have the opportunity to expand our unique brand of payroll services to more customers in more markets. We attribute our growth to three factors: An extremely efficient sales force, quality customer care and technology advancement. We like to call it the “National Village” approach. We have invested heavily in technology so that we can compete nationally, but unlike many other companies we have not lost site of the more personal needs of our clients. At AAP, if you need to speak to a “live person” it’s simple, just pick up the phone and call us and a person will answer the phone.

With the recent addition of state of the art new payroll software, AAP will provide you with the ultimate in flexibility, features and accessibility-with unequaled control and security. Whether you want our trained and certified payroll professionals to do the payroll input for you, or if you would prefer to do that yourself, we have a solution for you. According to company President William Streyffeler, many companies wish to maintain internal control of the payroll and human resource functions while still having access to the Service Bureau line of products (I.E. Direct Deposit, Tax pay and file, Labor Distribution, Special reporting).
In addition to processing payroll, AAP has teamed up with licensed and well respected partners to offer other services such as PAY-AS-YOU-GO workers comp, HR., Retirement and other insurance services. Vice-President Andrew Osborne adds, “these additional services allow us to offer a complete payroll and human resource packages to our clients. The pay-as-you-go workers comp has been extremely successful in helping our clients get lower rates and to settle liabilities at the end of the month so clients do not receive large amounts due after their audits.”

AAP also offers a program on CD that provides for fast and easy viewing and storage of quarterly reports check stubs and archived payroll information. “It’s ‘paperless payroll’,” says Vice President Andrew Osborne. “We can rewrite part of the software program to tailor it exactly to a clients needs—including job costing, special departmentalization and other specific attributes.”
“Some clients get stacks and stacks of paper, all of which must be filed and stored,” affirms Streyffeler. “With this program, the entire year’s payroll and all records can be archived on a CD and easily accessed at any time.”
Locally and Nationally, AAP’s clients are very diverse in terms of size, industry and complexity. Whether it is a fast food restaurant chain or a full service restaurant as well as engineering & construction firms, churches, daycare centers and manufacturing companies – AAP has the market covered.
According to company President William Streyffeler, much of the company’s growth can be attributed to our personal approach to our “front office” service. “We provide the same payroll services as the other major payroll companies and we have invested heavily in technology to support our “back office” functions just as they have. However, the AAP advantage is that we have a much more personal approach. As Streyffeler would put it “Technology is wonderful but sometimes you just want to speak to a “live person” and at AAP you can do just that. Automated answering systems are for the other guys.”

“Additionally,” Streyffeler continues, “with the principals either licensed accountants and/or enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service, we quickly resolve any IRS or tax issues.”
AAP’s core expertise is in the technology of the payroll programs offered to customers.
